For a healthy and happy life “Together with My Cat”
Cats do not speak words as humans do. Patient cats do not express their discomfort with their expressions and attitudes until their conditions become severe. Therefore, until a big abnormality is observed, your cat is less likely to visit a veterinary clinic.

Cat owners should keep it a habit to observe and understand their cat’s health conditions, and if there is any abnormal condition, please consult a veterinarian as soon as possible.

“Together with My Cat” was born from the hearts of cat owners who wish their beloved cats to live healthily for a long time.

“Water Quality Test Kit: Give Me Water”

Everyone deserves clean water that’s free from harsh chemicals or heavy metals that can create long-term health issues — this includes cats.

If you’re not sure whether the water they drink is good, the “Give Me Water” test lets you quickly check whether you have soft or hard water. Generally, hard water contains more minerals such as magnesium and calcium which can increase the risk of your cat developing kidney diseases.

Birth Story of “Together with My Cat”

“Together with My Cat” was born from my personal experience where my “Naruto-san” developed urinary blockage.

At the time, I had little experience with cats, so it took me a long time to notice that anything was wrong. I was deeply sorry for what I allowed to happen to “Naruto-san.”

From this experience, I thought that if we could check our cats’ health regularly and easily like with a medical checkup, then we could achieve early detection. I thought that this was an important thing to do even if there were no abnormalities. Using multiple test kits can help determine not just abnormalities through urine, but also a variety of conditions cats might experience.

Also, by comparing results regularly, cat parents have more advanced warning — which means they can get veterinarian help earlier for better outcomes. My hope is that every cat enjoys a healthy life for a long time without struggling with illnesses.

Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate are the results using "Together with My Cat"?

It has a margin of error of 10% or less.

What should I do when the results show abnormal values?

Please observe your pet’s condition, and we recommend consulting a veterinarian if you are worried.

What should I do when the results are unclear?

The darkness of the colors tends to be fuzzy or unclear, so we have made the hue clear according to each threshold. When the color does not fall under either of the closest sample colors, the value is assumed to be right in the middle. If the value shows an abnormality, please observe your pet’s condition and we recommend consulting a veterinarian if you are worried.

Can my pet’s condition change because of water?

Research has shown that when there are higher concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions in hard water the possibility of a pet developing kidney stones is higher.. According to the study, in areas with “extremely hard water,” the risk of pets developing urinary health issues was reported as “significantly high.”

How often do you recommend giving the "Give Me Water" test?

We would recommend performing the test once every 3 months (if using a water purifier), or when the water is changed.

How many samples were taken as the basis for the product development?

We conducted a correlation test (N100) with more than 20 kinds of certified drinking water on the market in Japan and overseas, tap water in different regions of Japan, and mineral water.

What kind of specialists were involved in the urine and water tests?

For the urine and water tests, we worked with the research and development staff from Cellspect Co., Ltd., our collaboration partner for the development of this product. The Cellspect Co., Ltd. is an in vitro diagnostics manufacturer that develops and produces clinical reagents. The firm also produces blood chemical analysis reagents, dry test strips, and quick test kits for infections, which make them an expert on clinical test reagents.

Can this test any type of water?

This product is intended to measure drinking water for cats. The color change and color samples for the measurement are adjusted so it can measure the water best suited for a cat. Therefore, if the water has a hardness over the measurement range (0 to 120 mg/L), the result will not show the number above the measurement range, but the water will be deemed “hard water” and not recommended as drinking water for cats.

Am I going to receive test papers with Japanese written on them?

The overseas version is printed in English.
